What’s Really Keeping You From Breaking Your Bad Habits

What’s Really Keeping You From Breaking Your Bad Habits

Its difficult to break bad habits because they not only dictate everything you do but they also make you believe that your bad habits are normal. Thats crazy talk you exclaim. I am aware that my bad habits are not typical.

. Why do you continue to do them if you know they are abnormal? Its that simple.

The reason is that we are what we do. Additionally we must alter our actions if we wish to alter who we are. Thats unfortunately easier said than done for the majority of people.

This is the precise issue! Did you notice that? Its not as simple as it seems.

When you try to alter your habits you are more at ease declaring that you will do so than actually carrying it out. No good. Talking is not doing.

Action is action. Even I occasionally overlook how crucial it is to keep this in mind. In all honesty I forgot today.

Im going to work on my book I told myself over and over. However I never got around to working on it and instead put it off until tomorrow. These days my body considers this to be normal saying things but never doing them comes naturally to me.

However I have a secret weapon now. Action is the key. Action is what will break you of these habits if it was action that led you to them in the first place.

You must make up for your bad deeds with good ones. Do it instead of telling others what youre going to do. Instead of telling yourself what you intend to do put your intentions in writing.

Begin keeping a 30-day journal in which you record your activities. Make it your goal to overcome your addiction.

Consider this before delaying that one major project.

Cant you even take a single snarky step forward?

Is the day over?

Ill be right back you know.

Im writing a book.
