I sometimes believe that some people expect the world to simply provide them with what they desire. I occasionally receive emails asking me the following. It would be fantastic for your readers if you could write a post about [completely irrelevant
product]. . .
Ive got a blog post idea. . You ought to discuss [an additional irrelevant subject] with your audience. Moreover [request for link exchange]? I ask myself I know that you want everybody to know about your product or listen to your message but why are you coming to me expecting me to do it for you?
whenever I receive messages like these from real people. I am now all for lending a hand. Although I dont immediately reject requests for product reviews or link exchanges dont expect me to comply if its clear that youre just looking out for yourself. Let us introduce a basic social lesson. People used to do things for other people just because they thought they would receive something in return.
And this worked out fantastically for a while. People would trade their completed work for grades their resumes for jobs and their life hours for money. Many jobs were created and many people were aided by this system. However the human race eventually became inventive enough to create the Internet where with enough time and effort almost any piece of information can be found. The fact that we can access literally billions of people on the internet is another factor.
Anyone can connect with us and rumors can spread like wildfire. Jobs began to become a little more difficult to find at this point. Rather than recruiting additional door-to-door salespeople employers are firing their current staff and using highly skilled advertisers to flood the Internet with advertisements. Offering services that are nearly free to use is no longer profitable. In other words having little skill no longer entitles you to a good job.
They had to learn that the hard way the door-to-door guys. What do you contribute? Expect very little compensation if you have nothing to offer in a world full of free stuff. Weve become far smarter so you cant fool people anymore with generic advice and low-cost tricks. Unless youre a heartless pay-per-click jockey youre out of luck.
The days of bombarding the internet with pointless advertisements and expecting people to believe what youre saying are long gone. The same is true for everything else in life. The fact that you have to contribute something is becoming more and more clear. Being just like everyone else will make no one notice you. You have to prove yourself worthy if you want to be successful in life and truly realize your dreams.
The ball is in your court the times have changed. Living a good life has become a completely different game since the development of the Internet. You are no longer obliged to work for the rest of your life in order to receive hourly wages. Establishing a business and making a living from your passion doesnt take years. You cannot be obstructed by anyone.
Focusing on what you can offer others is crucial to achieving the life you want. As you complete these three steps bear this in mind. 1. The mover has to be you. The march that starts the movement the momentum that starts the avalanche or the spark that ignites the fire must all be you.
The final destination of your life is solely your responsibility. Give up expecting others to do tasks for you. You were given instructions by your teachers on how to perform well in class. The boss at work assigns you tasks that have the potential to increase your pay. You are on your own though if you wish to create the life you have always imagined.
The move must be made by you. 2. Master a single skill. Which one of your talents—writing painting drawing singing acting knitting coloring or speaking—do you excel at? Fantastic.
Get it just right. Rank among the top 1000 individuals in your field of expertise. Allow your work to speak for itself and youll quickly find that you have many chances to present yourself. 3. Share your finest work.
Your best art is the one you spend the most time creating and should occasionally give away for free. If you are so eager to share something that others would prefer to keep hidden people will be more committed to your cause. In actuality your best work today might not be your best work tomorrow. Our ideas and thoughts change all the time. There will always be a better idea in the future so dont be scared to give away too much.
4. For better work charge more. Must I elaborate? Lead a life shaped by your values. Not everyone has the ability to take charge of it.
It takes a great deal of effort time and networking. However the life youve always dreamed of will be waiting for you if you embrace this and give your all to your passion. The high life is all about this.
